Registering at Izzi

What opening a Izzi account involves: who is eligible, what the form asks for, and what is worth doing before the first deposit.

Who Can Open an Account

Eligibility starts with age, and Canada makes that less simple than it sounds. Legally it is 18 or 19 depending on the province or territory, because the rule belongs to each province and territory rather than to the country. This review site is written for readers 19+, which is the stricter of the two thresholds and therefore safe everywhere in Canada. The operator sets its own eligibility rules on top of the law, and those are worth reading on its own site before you start.

Legal Gambling Age in Canada, Province by Province

Province by province, the legal minimum falls into two groups:

In full: 19 in Ontario, British Columbia and most provinces, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Your own province sets your number; the operator may still hold everyone to one stricter line, and that is allowed.

The Shape of the Process

The sequence is consistent across this industry, whatever the form looks like:

Open the operator's registration formfrom its own site, not from a link in an email or an ad
Enter your detailsthe fields below are the ones nearly every licensed operator asks for
Read what you are agreeing toterms, privacy policy, and any pre-ticked marketing boxes
Submit and confirmif a confirmation link or code is sent, follow it — this step varies by operator

That is the pattern, not a walkthrough of Izzi's own form — we have not registered there ourselves.

What the Form Asks For

The fields are much the same wherever you register:

The date of birth carries the weight here: it is the field the age rule is applied to. A mismatch between the account and the payment method is a later headache that is created at this exact step.

Documents Are Not a Registration Step

Registration does not usually involve uploading documents at all: no ID scan, no proof of address at this point. The document stage comes later, attached to cashing out rather than to joining. So opening the account is a low-commitment step. Where the document request fits at Izzi is set out on the withdrawals page.

The First Few Minutes of a New Account

The empty account is worth having on its own — the real terms, the real lobby and the real payment options are all visible before a deposit. Two early moves pay off: setting deposit limits while the balance is still zero (see responsible gaming), and reading the welcome offer's conditions before accepting it — those are on the bonus page.

Registration and Self-Exclusion

If a self-exclusion is in place, registering elsewhere undoes the only thing it was meant to do. Reach varies by scheme, and we make no claim about which one a given operator participates in. Our responsible gaming page lists the tools and where to get help.

What the Licence Changes at Sign-Up

The Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB) licence shows up in the sign-up form as extra fields and explicit consents — the administrative face of regulation. What it establishes is a route for disputes, nothing about quality.

A Last Look at the Form

A short check that saves trouble later:

Pre-ticked boxesmarketing consent is often on by default and is separate from the terms
Your date of birtha typo here can look like an eligibility problem
The spelling of your nameit has to match the payment method you will eventually use
The currency, if the form offers a choicethis is usually fixed once the account exists

Registering With or Without an Offer

A welcome offer exists here, which is unremarkable — they are standard across the industry. Accepting it is generally a separate decision made at the first deposit, not something the sign-up form commits you to. The conditions decide whether it is worth it — see the bonus page for the actual figures.

Sign-Up on Mobile

A phone browser handles registration perfectly well; no download is part of the process. The one mobile-specific trap is autofill filling the birth date wrongly, which then looks like an age failure rather than a typo. For the wider mobile picture, see the app page.

The Boundaries of This Page

To be explicit: no Izzi account was opened to write this. The province-by-province ages come from Canada law and the 19+ threshold is our own editorial rule — what Izzi itself requires is in its terms, not here.

Sign-Up Questions

Is registration free?

There is no charge to register, and no obligation to fund the account afterwards.

The confirmation email has not arrived — what now?

Spam filtering is the usual culprit. Support can resend the message if it genuinely did not arrive.

Why does the form ask for my date of birth?

Because that is how eligibility is verified: the date is checked against the legal age in your province.

Do I need to send documents to register?

Normally not. Identity documents belong to the verification stage, which is usually triggered by a withdrawal rather than by signing up.

Can I register from my phone?

A phone browser handles it fine. The one thing to check is that autofill has not mangled the date of birth.

What kind of password should I set?

Unique to this account. That matters more than any particular mix of characters.
